Making A Difference for Families Raising Children with Special Needs

Family Respite Care of Nevada, originally established as the Northern Nevada R.A.V.E. Family Foundation, began its transformative journey in October 1995. This significant moment marked the commencement of a noble driven by a grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services: to combat child abuse and neglect among children with special needs and disabilities.

In April 2024, we embarked on a new chapter with a name that aligns profoundly with our mission: to improve the well-being of families by providing respite care to caregivers who have young or adult children with special needs.
